The primary objective of this role is to execute the essential functions of a nurse by assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care within the Emergency Room setting.

• Plan, prioritize, and deliver proficient nursing care that is age-specific and tailored to developmental or specialty needs, utilizing advanced clinical nursing knowledge to ensure patient and family comfort and safety.
• Consistently complete accurate, concise, and legible documentation in medical records.
• Monitor and document signs, symptoms, and behaviors, including the physiological status of patients.
• Propose revisions to interventions and desired outcomes as necessary.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
• Follow physician orders in the provision of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and conduct lab tests in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques while delivering patient care.
• Execute admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Engage in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care provided.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures in the specialty area; perform or assist with procedures or treatments, ensuring compliance with legal, hospital, departmental policies, and established nursing standards as defined by the state’s Board of Nursing.

• Conduct all assigned Quality Assessment activities and document findings.
• Participate in staff meetings or other company-sponsored or mandated gatherings as required.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Associate’s Degree is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of full-time RN experience in an Emergency Room or comparable setting is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association are required; ENPC certification from ENA may substitute for PALS certification; TNCC certification is preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is necessary.
• For Candidates in Pennsylvania: Completion of Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) and Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) within the last 5 years is required, or must be obtained prior to the start date.
