The Alps at Wayne Rehab is seeking a responsible and personable Transporter to assist our residents with internal transportation within the facility.
This is an important role within our team. You'll be responsible for providing safe, reliable transportation while treating every resident with patience, dignity, and respect.

Help residents with mobility devices, including wheelchairs and walkers
Ensure residents are transported safely, comfortably, and on schedule
Follow all facility transportation policies and safety procedures
Complete required transportation documentation accurately
Communicate appointment schedules and transportation needs with facility staff
Maintain professional and courteous communication with residents, families, healthcare providers, and facility staff
Maintain resident confidentiality and respect privacy at all times
Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to coordinate resident transportation
Previous experience transporting patients, residents, seniors, or individuals with mobility needs is preferred
Healthcare, senior living, medical transportation, or customer service experience is a plus
Comfortable assisting individuals who use wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Patient, compassionate, and respectful
Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the facility team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety
