The selected candidate will interface directly with the Government customer at their onsite facility and provide critical support to the Fleet Command Center (FCC). Responsibilities include managing and operating collaborative tools within the FCC and supporting unmanned systems for current and future operational planning.Additional duties include assisting with the execution of contracting actions and coordinating logistics with subcontractors and cross-functional teams to support autonomous mission requirements within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility.The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively. They must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions in ambiguous conditions to meet mission deadlines. The successful candidate must be a self-starter that needs minimal supervision.This requisition supports hiring at multiple experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets.What You Will DoThe Robotic Operations Center (ROC) Operator provides accurate and timely real time information on demand while providing corporate knowledge and continuity to the watch.Provide continuity with the Battle Watch Captain while ensuring the proper transfer of information, authority, and operational control for Fourth Fleet Officer and Enlisted members.Manage the operation of collaborative tools within the Fleet Command Center (FCC) to include:Minotaur Family of SystemsUnmanned vehicle mission portalsGlobal Command and Control Systems Joint (GCCS-J)Jabber Chat, MAKO Chat / Chat SurferProtected internet eXchange (PIX)Partner Nation Network (PNN)IANTN, NIPRNET and SIPRNETMAVEN Smart SystemsTrack the readiness of forces assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command and U.S. 4th Fleet (NAVSOUTH/C4F) and maintain situational understanding of operations in execution and future operations.Synchronize, coordinate, de-conflict, and/or integrate maritime operations with other USSOUTHCOM component commanders and Fleet Commanders. Supervise the establishment, maintenance operation and administration of the maritime Common Operational Picture (COP) utilizing all available collaborative tools.Track Commanders Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) and immediately report relevant information to BWC, COPS Director, MOC director and CommanderWhat We Are Looking ForLevel 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experienceLevel 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experienceLevel 5: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experienceClearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibilityCore Operational Experience:Fleet-level watch experience or equivalentExperience in maritime operations, command-and-control environments, unmanned systems, or related military/contractor rolesFamiliarity with control interfaces for unmanned air, surface, and subsurface platformsAbility to interpret real-time telemetry and sensor data across multiple domainsAbility to monitor and interpret EO/IR, radar, AIS, and acoustic sensor systemsTechnical & Systems Knowledge:Strong understanding of communications systems: voice, chat, SATCOM, and data linksSkill in monitoring network and link health tools for telemetry and connectivityExperience with operational logging, reporting tools, and time stamped documentationFamiliarity with mission management systems, communication networks, and watch-floor proceduresAbility to use safety and deconfliction tools for airspace, maritime traffic, and geofence managementProfessional Skills:Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail in a watch environmentAbility to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations centerExcellent communication, problem solving, and decision support skillsPreferred: Bonus Points For...Prior experience with unmanned air, surface, or subsurface platformsBackground in naval operations, aviation operations, or maritime securityExperience in a Maritime Operations Center, Fusion Center, or similar C2 environmentCertifications or training related to command-and-control systems, unmanned systems operations, or watch standingProficiency with Maritime Command and Control (C2) systemsExperience with Common Operating Picture (COP) and situational awareness tools#LI-DK1Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
